Why is my PDF not getting compressed?

There are many ways you can reduce the size of a PDF. But there is always a maximum limit to which you can reduce file size. There is a chance that you have reached the limit of compression.

PDF4me provides reliable and fast compression when it comes to reducing PDF file size. The Compress PDF tool gives you two options to reduce the PDF file size.

-- Default - Moderate compression. A slight reduction in quality. -- Max - Maximum compression. Reduced quality.

If you want the PDF size to be as small as possible, you can choose the Max option. Even after which if your PDF size is reducing, the chances are you have reached the limit to which a PDF file can be compressed.

All PDFs have a limit to which their size can be reduced without affecting the loss of important data. With maximum compression of Images in the PDF, flattening of layers, Fonts - a limit is reached where no more compression is possible. If the Max profile is not able to shrink PDF file anymore, most likely the limit has been reached for your PDF document.
