Why is the font in the converted PDF and source file not same?

Digital documents are generated in a wide variety of manner. There are millions of digital documents generated, converted, or processed on a daily basis. Among these thousands of documents in different formats are converted to PDF. This includes Word, Excel, PPT files, and more.

PDF4me makes a huge number of Word to PDF conversions every day. But there are few situations where the generated PDFs might not preserve the exact fonts or formatting. This can be due to the source document might be using fonts that are custom, premium, or from un-supported formats or languages.

In such cases, the Fonts are replaced with the most similar fonts or font families in the converted PDF. The cases where the fonts need to be replaced are very rare as PDF4me supports a large collection of fonts.
