Get your PDF4me API key
Your PDF4me connection in Zapier authenticates with an API key, so grab it first. Sign in to the PDF4me dashboard and open API Calls & Key to copy your key. No account yet? Create one, then copy the complete key without extra spaces.

Sign in to Zapier and open My Apps
Log in to Zapier, or sign up if you do not have an account yet. From the dashboard, open the My Apps menu, where all of your connected app accounts are managed.

Add the PDF4me connection
In My Apps, click Add connection to set up a new app connection. Type PDF4me into the search box and choose the PDF4me app from the results.

Enter your API key to authorize
Choosing the PDF4me app opens a pop-up that asks for your API key. Paste the key you copied from the dashboard, then click Yes, continue to authorize the connection.

Is PDF4me a trigger or an action in Zapier?
Mainly an action, with one trigger. PDF4me actions run after another app's trigger, and a PDF4me Workflow can also start a Zap through the Workflow trigger. See the PDF4me app on Zapier.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
You connect PDF4me with your own API key and each PDF4me step runs as an action in your Zap, counting as a task on whatever Zapier plan you already use. Zapier's own plan tiers decide how many tasks you get.
How is PDF4me billed?
PDF4me is billed by API usage, separate from Zapier. You start free with no credit card and pay only as your volume grows, while Zapier counts its own tasks per run on your existing plan.
How do I get an API key?
Create a free PDF4me account, open the dashboard and copy your key from API Keys, then paste it once when you add the PDF4me connection in Zapier. The getting-started guide walks through it.
Which apps and triggers can start a PDF4me Zap?
Any trigger in Zapier. Common ones are a new or updated file in Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, a new email, a form submission, a new row in a sheet, or a scheduled run. PDF4me actions run after the trigger fires.
Is there a free tier or usage limits?
Yes. You can start free with no credit card and test the actions before you commit. Higher volume moves you onto a paid tier, metered by PDF4me for API usage and by Zapier for tasks per run.
